I could write all day about how wonderful this inexperienced toshiba digital tuner dvd recorder is however won’t waste your time withy facts numerous won’t understand proper saying i have been using 3 panasonic dvd recorders withy built inner analog tuners for over 3 years. I received this unit inner july when it became available plus it is great. Look not further if you are looking for a dvd recorder withy a built inner digital tuner. It works flawlessly, is priced obscure attending amazon plus i have not had one coaster yet or had it not accept a particular brand of blank media even though i recommend sticking withy the superior tayio-yuden dvds made inner japan. The panasonics were all picky about brands of blank dvds plus the different formats they toilet be purchased inner. I found this unit was pretty easy to set increased plus later scanning for all available channels upon my cable system i was ready to go. The recorded results i gratify later recording upon any of the digital or high def channels are beautiful. To gratify the best picture, i always record upon the alternate high def digital channel that is available upon all the major networks including 3 pbs channels upon my cable system. My one complaint is what another reviewer has mentioned, the horrible tiny, dull grey printing upon the dark black remote control! If only they had used bright white paint instead of the dull gray print upon the black case owners might have been able to see what command you are pushing. It is almost impossible to read without bright light inner the room. I have learned to remember what button is which from memory however Toshiba DR570 DVD Recorder makes me crazy thinking if they had only used the same white print they placed upon the tiny buttons! I am sorry i cannot write more giving details about this recorder however you toilet gratify that elsewhere. I will proper tell you this product does what it is supposed to do perfectly plus does it very well. I highly recommend this unit plus the price has dropped since i bought mine inner july making it even a better deal.
